Who’s Jay?

Jay has been actively developing his computer skills since 1985. Everything he knows he owes to the web, books and those nameless individuals who have since gone on to do greater things (hopefully). It is Jay’s hope that he may somehow, refresh that karma pool.

Currently working as a graphics designer, Flasher and animator for OpticalDevotee; Jay’s passion for everything artistic started at an early age and progressed through many stages of evolution; from drawing, painting to sculpting, writting and filmmaking.

Jay can be found broadcasting through Justin.tv channel at http://www.justin.tv/encryptable during work hours (which can sometimes be in the middle of night) as well as sending up the odd TechBlog and banning spamers over at V7N.com.

Why MySweetSlaughterhouse?

Many people ask where the name MySweetSlaughterhouse came from. It was originally a BBS back in the mid 80’s.  *shout out to Brad*  The My Sweet Slaughterhouse BBS had one of the more interesting communities and by far, the coolest name.

The .com domain name was first purchased in 2006 but nothing ever came of it. It was originally intended to be the home for a web development business. When the domain expired, it surprisingly went back into the pool and nobody snapped it up. Well, I guess it’s not *that* suprising… In any event. In early 2008 the name was grabbed again, and, well… Here we are. It’s a blog!
